Food was delicious. Service was great. My granddaughters were not sure what they wanted and our server made a few recommendations. What she recommended was perfect !!
(When I told the server that the beer was more explosive than I thought it would be, she gave me another one on the house.) The beer is $7 for a small beer - considering I like to get a beer after work, this is not for a happy hour (no specials on sushi or drinks). Got a classic spicy tuna roll for $9. It came out fast and was decent quality. However, I did not expect to pay over $22 (sitting at the bar) for a basic roll and small beer.
Super weird vibe inside but I bet in warmer weather it's awesome because they have a cool looking patio. Rolls were good for a land locked state. Out of all I have had around the Midwest I rank their rolls as followed: We split 4 rolls. 2 were speciality 2 were just a spicy salmon and spicy tuna, the others were raw fish no cream cheese rolls but I don't remember the name of them. Texture / temperature. 9/10. These rolls came out COLD not frozen but cold. I expect my raw fish to be cool or cold and often it is room temp by the time you get it at other places. Rolls had a nice balance of fish and crunch from veggies. Appearance 7/10 Structure 4/10 had to eat with fingers because if you barely touched with the chop sticks they would fall apart due to too little of rice being used to hold together. I didn't mind because that was just less carbs I ate, but they were loose. Taste 8/10 (fish was fresh and clean tasting) Price 3/10 speciality rolls averaged 15-16 bucks a pop, regular spicy rolls were 10-12 I think. They were all salad bar sized small. Unfortunatly this was a fairly big negative. We hit sushi all over the country frequently, so not the typical sheltered sushi uneducated Midwesterner lol. IMHO. Rolls were about 3-4 bucks too high for what you got, they didn't have ginger which for a ginger addict ruined a small part of the meal for me. You're a sushi place, wasabi, soy, rice, ginger. Always have on hand lol. Probably won't stop in again, but that's only because I have a few other places in LIT I like better and are the same or maybe slightly cheaper in price for better rolls. But if these guys are close, you'll get tasty food. Pot stickers were good also so the rest probably is as well.
Never stop eating!! Very fresh fish and very friendly owner. Gosh I can't stop going there every weekend. Worth it.
Delicious! I went in for a take out order. The restaurant is newly renovated so it's very new & clean. The person who helped me was very helpful & offered me water even though I was waiting for take out. They have a fully stocked bar & a great menu full of variety. The ambiance was great as well. Once I got home & tasted the food, it was very good. The seafood udon soup was flavorful & though I requested it with mild spice, the regular has a kick to it. The yellow tail roll that I got was very fresh & delicious. I could see myself eating it everyday. 100% recommend.
